What are current payment methods for publicly available chargers?
For publicly available chargers, there are multiple ways of performing a transaction. Paying for your charging session, for example, with a charging pass, which is the most common way of performing transactions, you can also do it with your credit card or debit cards with a payment terminal. There are even solutions where you can scan a QR code on your phone and perform payments with your phone.
Is the variety of payment methods a problem?
I think the variety of payment methods is definitely an issue, because of the fact that some [methods] do not work at certain certain chargers, which will lead to a little bit of inconvenience.
People don't want to go on long trips because they are scared that they cannot charge their cars in some locations. I think that being able to use your own credit or debit cards anywhere will definitely be a solution for for this, which is also push from the from the European government now.
