Peblar Home Plus phase-out, what you need to know

The Peblar Home Plus is currently being phased out and is no longer part of our active product portfolio. While it is no longer available for new orders directly from Peblar, existing units remain fully supported. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about what this means for ongoing use, support, and maintenance.

Why this change was made

This phase-out is part of a broader strategy to simplify our product portfolio and better align it with user needs. Moving forward, we are focusing on two distinct product lines:

  • Peblar Home for residential use (e.g. privately owned or privately leased vehicles)
  • Peblar Business for both residential business-linked scenarios (e.g. company cars) and commercial applications (e.g. offices, workplaces, parking areas)

In parallel, we have introduced the Peblar Business Cable (available in 5m and 7.5m), featuring upgraded internal components.

This portfolio update enables us to offer a clearer product structure for both partners and end users, while continuing to fully support all existing Peblar Home Plus installations.

Availability and installation

The Peblar Home Plus is no longer available for new purchases at Peblar. However, if units are still in stock at some distribution partners, they can be installed and used as normal. There are no changes required for installation or operation.

Firmware updates

All Peblar Home Plus units will continue to receive the same firmware updates as our other chargers. This includes security improvements, new features, and ongoing compatibility with our systems.

Technical support

We will continue to offer technical support for Peblar Home Plus chargers. There is currently no planned end-of-support date; the Peblar Home Plus remains in line with our product lifecycle and service policies.

Safety and compliance

The Peblar Home Plus remains completely safe and compliant with current regulations. There are no concerns regarding continued daily use, and no action is needed from users.

Looking ahead – future technologies & compatibility

Electric mobility is evolving quickly. Standards and technologies such as ISO 15118 and bidirectional charging (including vehicle-to-grid) are still very much in development, and the software, ecosystem, and regulatory frameworks need more time to mature.

Our chargers, including the Peblar Home, Peblar Business, and Peblar Business Cable, do not currently support bidirectional charging. We are following these developments closely and are looking at the role they could play in future Peblar models.
