How to set up dynamic group load balancing for Peblar

The Peblar charger is capable of dynamic load balancing, group load balancing and dynamic group load balancing. All forms of load balancing can be configured during the (re)commissioning phase.

Dynamic load balancing

Dynamic load balancing can be configured by using for example measurement devices such as the CT-coils, HomeWizard P1 dongle, Phoenix Contact EMpro, and the Xemex Smart Charge Controller. See our accessories page for all supported measurement devices.

IMPORTANT: For the HomeWizard P1 dongle, having a stable connection is very important. If possible, we strongly recommend installing the charger via an ethernet cable. When installed only using WiFi, make sure the network is strong and that the Peblar charger and HomeWizard P1 dongle are connected to the same network.

Group load balancing

Group load balancing can be configured and set up during the (re)commissioning steps. The Peblar charger is capable of group load balancing with a maximum of 32 chargers connected to a single group and installation.

How to physically install and configure the dynamic group load balancing can be found under Group load balancing using RS-485 in the installation manual (page 20).

The ‘master’ Peblar charger needs to be connected to a load balancing measurement source (e.g. HomeWizard P1 dongle, or CT-coils), and then all ‘follower’ Peblar chargers need to be physically connected via the RS485 connection to the ‘master’.

How to physically install and configure the dynamic group load balancing can be found under Group load balancing using RS-485 in the installation manual (page 20).
