We deliberately choose Peblar, for the stable ethernet connection, the strong housing and the ease of installation.

What began as a company focused on solar panels soon grew into a broader offering. Changing customer questions and developments in the market made batteries and EV chargers a logical part of the package. "You notice that customers increasingly want one integrated system," Michiel says. "Solar panels, storage and charging are one complete picture."

Stable installations as the foundation

In practice, the team regularly works with existing installations that already mix several brands, for example chargers placed through an employer. In those situations flexibility is essential. "You need solutions that work in different environments. That is where Peblar works well for us."

"We deliberately choose Peblar, for the stable ethernet connection, the strong housing and the ease of installation."

That need for reliability also shaped the choice of metering. After earlier solutions proved less stable, the team switched to a wired P1 meter. "Since then the connectivity problems have basically disappeared. It just works, without extra configuration." The solution costs slightly more, but for Michiel the time saved and the lower number of faults outweigh it comfortably.

A family business focused on quality

The company is a family business, started by Michiel's father with a few partners and now continued by Michiel and his brother. The focus is deliberately on quality and regional projects. "We mainly work for private customers and small independents. That fits how we work: personal, close by and with attention for the installation."

For that audience, functionality matters too. Peblar is regularly chosen because charging data can be exported easily, which independents use for invoicing to their own company.

From installation to use

The work does not stop at handover. Michiel and his team take time to explain the installation. "We set up the web interface together with the customer on their phone or PC and walk through everything. That way they know how to export charging data, for example."

Customers also receive their own manual with practical guidance on the web interface. "That prevents questions afterwards, and if something does come up, we are ready to help."

Technology in development

According to Michiel, the energy market is moving fast, and the role of energy management systems is changing with it. "More and more inverter manufacturers are launching their own energy app. For Peblar it is important to integrate with as many of these parties as possible."

One development gaining ground quickly is integration with dynamic energy prices. "More and more is being steered on that, and that is where the future lies. In the end the solar panels, home battery and EV charger have to be able to talk to each other." That vision fits the direction Peblar has chosen: open integrations and collaboration with other systems.
