Whether you run a network of chargers or install them for your customers, you need one thing above all: a charger that keeps working, every day, whatever the conditions.

So how do you know the charger you buy will work from day one, and keep working for years?

For Peblar, the proof is in the field. Out of more than 100,000 chargers in use, only 0.1% have ever failed in any way. A number like that does not happen by chance. Reliability is built into every Peblar charger from the very start, from the first day we sit down to design it, with one goal: every charger that leaves our factory should just work, for the customer, for a long time.

Rain or heat, light use or heavy use, we test every part to make sure it keeps performing in the real world, year after year.

We also go further than the basic rules. We follow the same standard used to build cars, called IATF 16949. It is built around three simple ideas: zero defects, steady quality and a long life. We see the charger as an extension of the car, so we hold it to the same high bar as the car it charges.

This is what makes a charger that installs right the first time, stays up and running, and needs little maintenance. Exactly what any operator needs when their business depends on it.

 

Choosing the right parts and suppliers

A charger is only as good as the parts inside it. So we work only with trusted, approved suppliers, and every part has to pass strict quality and performance checks under real-world stress before we use it.

A few of the ways we judge quality:

  • Every part has to keep working reliably in temperatures up to 50°C.
  • Parts that carry a heavy load are built to run at full power, without stopping.
  • Suppliers have to meet car-industry standards, and we check both how they work and what they deliver.

The goal is simple: every Peblar charger stays reliable for its whole life.

 

Simple design, built to last

Often it is simple design that makes a product reliable, and that is true for us. Instead of using lots of separate circuit boards wired together, we build our chargers around a single board (a single PCB). Fewer boards means fewer things that can go wrong.

It also makes the charger sturdier, which matters in places with shaking, heat or damp. And it makes life easier for installers, because fewer cables and connectors means less chance of a mistake.

On top of that, the charger is made to be compact and easy to service, and to look good wherever it goes. The inside is laid out to avoid hot spots and spread wear evenly, so it lasts longer.

 

Tested to the extreme

Even with all this care early on, every design still has to survive extreme testing before we make it.

Most charger makers send their products to outside labs and wait their turn. We do not. We test in our own labs at Prodrive Technologies in Eindhoven, so we can test faster and check more carefully than others. The aim is not just to pass the standards, but to beat them, and to find and fix any weak points before a charger ever leaves us.

All of this means every Peblar charger is proven to handle the toughest conditions, giving operators the peace of mind they need to keep their sites running.
