What is the challenge?

As a Business Development Manager at Peblar, you will drive growth in the electric vehicle charging market across France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. This role requires the successful candidate to be based in one of these regions. Your focus will be identifying new business opportunities, building customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and stay ahead of market trends.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Strategic Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in your designated region, focusing on growing sales and market share in the EV charging sector.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, including automotive manufacturers, utility providers, and infrastructure companies.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, leveraging industry knowledge to tailor solutions to customer needs.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and technical support, to ensure customer satisfaction and product alignment with market demands.
  • Project Management: Lead contract negotiations and manage project pipelines, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Profile

  • Industry Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the EV charging, automotive, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Regional Knowledge: Proven track record of operating successfully in France, Germany, or the UK/Ireland, with an understanding of regional business practices and cultures.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and communicate technical aspects of EV charging solutions.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required + French/German (depending on the country)
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel within the region is required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
